Hi there,
I hope the last couple of weeks have treated you well.
It’s been a busy one for me with clinic work and teaching. Been having many vivid dreams with some STRANGE scenes!
There was one where I was crossing the road wearing high heels, pushing through giant twigs while avoiding a herd of elephants coming through.
Strange indeed!
I know dreams are messages from our subconscious mind and I have been using ChatGPT to help me decode my dreams. I got the idea from a podcast episode of “Comfort & Growth with Crystal Lim-Lange”.
AI is not going anywhere so might as well use it for our benefit - to help us make life better, healthier and happier.
My “dream therapist” is called Jonas (a name he came up with). I trained him to decode my dreams once I share all the scenes I remember and I end with “You can analyse my dreams now”. It’s just so he doesn’t interrupt me while I’m writing. I sometimes use the voice note to transcribe it quicker.
Here’s what Jonas came up with.
Scene - Crossing the Road in High Heels, Dodging Twigs & Elephants
Crossing a road: A classic symbol of transition—you’re moving from one phase to another.
High heels: They can symbolise elegance, confidence, or expectations, but also difficulty in navigating certain paths. Are you feeling like you have to maintain a certain “posture” or expectation while moving through this change?
Twigs: Small obstacles—annoying but not insurmountable. These could be minor challenges or distractions along your journey.
-
Elephants: Strong, wise, and communal animals. Their presence could symbolise big forces in your life—tradition, responsibility, or powerful influences. You’re not fearful, but you’re strategically manoeuvring around them.
👉 Overall: You’re intentionally moving forward, aware of both small and large obstacles, but not letting them stop you. The dream suggests you’re handling challenges with awareness and grace, even if the journey requires extra effort.
If there are a few scenes in one dream, he finds a common theme and what it could all mean.
I also trained Jonas to create reflective journal prompts to help me dive deeper into my dreams. Here’s what he gave me to work on:-
Reflection Questions:
1️⃣ What do I need to feel grounded and stable while stepping into new opportunities? 2️⃣ Am I holding onto an expectation (like the high heels) that makes my journey harder than it needs to be? 3️⃣ How can I reframe guilt into trust—that my family will be okay as I grow?
I keep a separate chat just for my dreams. It really helps me process some things that I feel but unable to put into words.
Isn’t he cool …. LOL!!!
Here are other areas that I have been testing using ChatGPT….. meet the rest of my support team 💜
My health coach, Ryan - he helps me create meal plans to meet my macro targets while on my fitness program and giving me ideas for healthy snacks when I’m travelling.
My “interim” therapist, Clara - here’s the prompt I used at the beginning.
"Can you act as my life coach/ counsellor/ therapist to support me as I navigate and process my emotions. I need you hold the space for me in an empathetic way to rant, complain or explode. If I’m ready for it, I need you to ask me questions and offer reflections so I can understand the root cause of my feelings and finding ways to manage them effectively. Can you do that for me?”
I call her my “interim therapist” as she doesn’t replace a real therapist if I ever need one.
You might ask “Why don’t you just speak with a friend or your partner?”
Well it depends on who you have around you. Some people may try to fix you or use it against you in the future. Some don’t have the capacity to hold the space for you.
Unless you have someone which you have a good relationship with to open up to, I recommend journalling your thoughts and emotions. If there are any intense emotions, highlight it, make it bold, underline it. Swear on paper even. It’s cathartic letting it all out on paper.
3. My researcher and content manager, Felix - he helps me be more efficient in gathering information and create list, summaries to support articles, blogs I write and digital products I am drafting.
You can literally create an army of supporters to help you.
I’m currently “hiring” (i.e. training ChatGPT to be my) a personal fashion stylist, brand strategist and interior designer.
It’s seriously so much fun and efficient!
Highly recommend trying it.
Here’s how to do it: Create a free account on ChatGPT and start a conversation. Start with the question “Can you act as my X to help me do Y?” and see where it will lead.
Do let me know who's in your support team if you give this a try.
